Lake's Quilt Squares

The quilt I am working on for my son.  I started with teal and added other blues and greens.  It seems that I am not an orderly quilter ... but much more fond of scrapping things together.

Felt Coasters

Coasters I made by hand sewing felt.
Cute and also very absorbent.

Altered Book Arts

I co-taught a Book Arts workshop at
Scattergood Friends School recently.
Here are two of the projects that I made
by cutting up old books!

Stitchin' Fabric & Paper

I have been working on combining a current obsession with piecing together small scraps into interesting  designs with the desire to stitch on paper.  So, I came up with the idea of making note cards.  It works surprisingly well to sew fabric onto paper on the sewing machine!

Round Robin Quilting at FGC

I recently went to a quilting workshop where we did round robin quilting.  We each brought a square or starter piece and put it in a bag.  Then we each randomly chose another bag and added to that piece.  We switched things up this way four times and ended up with some interesting pieces when it was all done!

Graduation Gifts

Two sweet girls that I love graduated from Scattergood this past May and I made each of them a present to help decorate their dorm room.  Check out the Chinese character applique of her name -that was fun!

Quilted Table Runner

A geometric quilted table runner I made for my sister-in-law, to go on their lovely dark wood dining room table.
