It seems like only yesterday that I was posting the gift that I made for an 8 year old. Today I am posting the pillowcase that I just finished for her 9th birthday next week! Happy Birthday GR!
Using applique to put a child's name on their gift is super fun and makes it special for them!
Craftin' My Life
This is my blog for sharing photos of some of my fiber and book arts projects online. I may reflect on them a bit, but mostly it is just an avenue for me to show others what I have been working on. Enjoy!

Multi-generational Quilt
A lap quilt that I finally finished for my mother-in-law.
The story is that her mother (my husband's grandmother, and quite a quilter) cut the small squares but never did anything with them. My mother-in-law gave me the pieces to "do something with". It took a while, but I put together something that I am happy with. The truly vintage fabrics were a lot of fun to work with.

Baby Gifts
I have three new babies in my life, and nothing brings out the crafty gifter in me more than babies!
A hexagon ball for Beatrice ... which her older sister Amari thought was quite fabulous.
A knitted blue cap that ties under the chin for Max.
And a play mat with extra padding and interesting fabrics for some floor time for Rowan.

Birthday Presents for an 8 year old
My beautiful next door neighbor, Gillie Rose, turned 8 today. I made her two gifts to accent her new loft bed.
A bag that hangs over the railing at the top
to store her book and other items in.
A scrappy bunting to hang underneath the loft for decoration.
Pieced Quilt Back
I have finally completed a pieced back for my son's quilt that I am happy with ...which is very exciting, since that means I will be putting together my quilt sandwich (front, batting and back) this week! Then, let the hand quilting begin!!!
